I am absolutely terrified and I feel so alone. I just found out last week that I tested positive for hsv1 and 2. I have been with the same man for the past 10 years and within the last year found out that he has cheated on me with numerous women. I am so scared that I can give it to my children by kissing them and them eating with me...I feel like my whole life has changed. And even though the nurses, my doctor, and websites say that a lot of people have it I still feel like I am by myself. My self esteem has dropped and I feel like I have been used up. But now, My life is very happy.

Don't get tested that would be a bad idea. Cause love is fleeting but herpes last forever

Well, it all depends on if you had sex with her or not, I would go get tested just for safety purpose. If I did get it from her, that BIT..... WILL GET FO SHO! Than again, it's my fault for not checking it out before I engaged in stuff like that. That's why, you alwys use protection and shower afterwards.

Well if I was in your place and hadn't checked things out thoroughly before I jumped in the sack I guess I would want to get checked out and if so then deal with it but I would never forgive myself for being so naieve

Get tested, and not have any more sex until you get the results.
Then notify everyone that you've had sex with since you got infected.
Then talk to your doctor, and find out what treatment is appropriate.

i would kill him...i know someone that she slept with with her first b/f and got HPV and when she found out she went back to him and told him he said that is wasnt form him....guys or girl can have HPV and not know it they can be carriers.she couldn't have got it from any one else if that guy was the only one that she was ever been with

See your family doctor, or go to one of those clinics, health departments, anything just don't spread it any farther
