Ok, I would start out with the wall paper! Many abstract or unique patterns to choose from and that will start the accent of the room.

Then, you go with the trim. Both on the top of the ceiling, and as a border along the walls. (dont forget to do the doors outline).

Put chair molding up for a different accent too.

Paint the doors to the cupboards a different color for panels. (Closet doors can be outlined, and panels painted two tones lighter than the room).

Pictures on the walls! Family, friends. Ornimentations, also. (Home Interior is good for this). Some pictures you can have accent lights (one or two...dont over do it in a small room).

A large rubber plant in the corner is a good eye catcher for green! (I love those things when it comes to a color splash). You may even want a few hanging baskets in corners with large plants...(make sure nothing is under then so that if you water them, and it leaks, no water damage will occur!).

Try accents on the windows. LOWES has different window treatments that can "color" the windows, so that you have a different mood in the air...

Also, a lght! Thats a focal point of the room, a good chandelier if your going provincial, or upbeat lighting if your more modern. (But remember, if you go for a crystal chandelier, YOU GOTTA CLEAN EACH CRYSTAL!! Time consumming!!).

I wish you well..

Hang a very large mirror it will make the room bigger. Also if your walls are plain try to make them a dark warm color with a chair rail trim you can even make the lower half the dark color and a lighter color to the upper half, this will draw attention to the walls and no so much to the stuff inside. Also a plant, maybe a fake tree, or a table plant on a tall pedistool would be better, make sure its a real leafy plant with hanging pieces otherwise it won't look right.

Try a small bar table with stools. If the bar is on wheels then you could move it around and entertain with ease. That will leave room for a little decor if you like. Some one already said use a mirror, that is a good idea set it up behind the bar and it will give the illusion of a bigger room. Also the extra storage space in the bar can help free up room in your kitchen.

Good Luck!!

You might try a tall green plant in a corner.
You could get a small accent table and put a mood lamp or a flower vase on it.
By placing small and medium size mirrors on 2 of the walls it will help make the room feel larger.
Good luck! :o)

Use your ceiling! Hanging plants or hanging fruit baskets are always great. Just be sure to keep them away from where people would bonk their heads on them. Hang some art on the walls if you'd like. Also, having some fun with paint can make all the different in the world!

A vase with flowers, or a table setting (like really nice dishes and some kind of decorative display in the middle). Candles, tablecloth or runner, etc.

HA HA remarkable one Bob and Dave are walking alongside downtown at the same time as a mugger assaults them with a gun and announces, "that's a stick-up. Get into that alley and then supply me all you cash." As they're walking down the alley Bob fishes out his wallet and eliminates a number of the expenditures. He palms them to Dave and whispers, "suited right here you bypass, guy." Dave takes the money and seems at Bob with a questioned expression, so Bob explains, "do no longer you submit to in ideas? it particularly is the hundred dollars I owed you."
