You have one great thing going for you, Love...you're thinking...you're seeking! Nice to see!
The best way to tell real from not, is while you seek, look in many many places, and when your little soul bell rings "Now, that makes sense!", there ya go! Chalk it up & keep going.
Spirituality is definately a word...it describes the spirit looking to grow in knowledge here, while remembering Who It Truly Is...it's the journey we are all on in our lifetime...it's our only purpose for being here.
This trip is not actually a "dream", but a tool to accomplish the above...keep in mind that we learn the most & have the opportunity to shine the grandest during times of chaos...think about that for a while & you'll see the truth in it.
Allow me to point you in a good starting direction--pick up the following (probably at the library, too)..."Conversations with God" by Neale Donald Walsch--great trilogy...Any of Sylvia Browne's books...very informative, and she's done soooo much research for them...and check out the Gnostic Gospels...they are a culmination of all cultures for higher understanding....These should put you on a roll, just don't stop there...listen for the "bell", keep what seems true to you, and simply leave the rest....Good Journey!

One can be sure that all one experiences is in fact a biased vision. and there is no way otherwise. Our perception is bound by our senses and capabilities of our senses.

Truth is subjective. Reality is also subjective. So I guess it comes down to what you believe.

Truth is true in every possible situation. If it is not true always, under every possible situation, it is not true.

You don't. That's where faith comes in. Faith in anything. Even your own thoughts.
