no No NO

Ibuprofen is very bad for dogs.

Many dogs can take a small dose of aspirin or tylenol but both drugs have risks associated with them. If she has an ear ache she probably has an ear infection and needs to be treated by a vet. He will instruct you on the proper dosing of aspirin or acetaminophen (tylenol) and if it will actually help your dogs situation. More likely he will give you a topical anesthetic which will take care of the pain safely.

No. Most human medicines cannot be metabolized by a dog's liver and they cause toxicity and even death. Please get her treated at a vet immediately. Repeated or prolonged ear infections can cause deafness in a dog plus they just plain hurt! She also may have a yeast infection, inner ear infection, mites, etc...you need to know the TYPE of infection she has and only a vet can do that. Also you want to know what is causing the infection in the first place to prevent them from recurring.

Just to clear up some advice other people have given, dogs can safely take asprin...BUT it should be a buffered asprin, not regular, buffered is easier on the stomach. Also, they can safely take ascriptin AD. But, no do not give ibuprofen or tylenol.

Take her to the vet. My dog is prone to ear infections, they give you a topical medicine that you rub in the ear twice a day, it clears up really fast. People medicine is very hard on a dogs stomach, they can take similar meds, but in different doses. It won't do what you want it to, so don't mess with it. Sorry she is not feeling well, good luck!

You can give a dog asprin but not ibuprofen.
It can be toxic to dogs.
Give regular asprin 1/4 of one tablet for every 10 pounds of body weight.
Just plain regualr 325mg asprin for adults.
If your dog is 20 pounds give 1/2 tablet.
I give my 70 pounds dogs one tablet and if they are still in pain I will give another 1/2 but usually one tablet does it fine.

No. Try asprin, but you should really take your pet to the vet. I had to put drops in my dogs ears.

Dogs should not take ibuprofen--they should only take asprin (dosage according to weight), or a pain reliever prescribed by the vet.

you need it looked at - she may have ear mites, a grass seed or even a yeast infection. The ear is an L shape and needs to be looked at by ur vet and treated otherwise it can worsen and u will b up for an anaesthetic and a clean out.
