Hi, this is when you think to yourself why do i bother, but really weight does come of this every week so you are doing it right, sometimes you dont loose any wait because of hormonal changes in your body. But really when you think about it if you lose up to 2lb a week thats nearly half a stone in one month. I know this because joined weight watchers and this is how much i lost but i never excercised though, just stuck to my points and i cut my portion sizes down and in three months i lost a stone. But if you are excercising as well, you may lose more. I wouldnt get frustrated as weight just dosnt fall of everday it comes of every week. So keep it up and you will be at your ideal weight before long. Dont over work your self though. Have you tried weight watchers, it really works and its proven you dont have to work out like a maniac to lose weight. I was trying to lose weight for 2 years excercising religiously an hour everday and cutting down and i only lost half a stone in 2 years i was down with my self and annoyed because i was working my butt off. I went to weight watchers never excercise and i lost a stone in 3 months i could of lost it quicker but some week i never stuck to my points and i should of excercised. But it sounds like you have good self control, you will get to your goal weight with wait watchers. Good Luck and dont worry losing 2lb is normal.

What is your goal? It has to be realistic and measurable - "I want to lose 10 lbs in 2 months" is a good example. By what you say your track record is - you will lose 5-7 lbs a month (average) - by that notion if you keep it up you will lose 15-21 pounds by the holidays (not too shabby - but again what is your goal?)
Also, you need to more closely examine what "eating well" and "exercising" is. Are you doing strength and cardio training? How do you define "eating well"? Have you figured out what your caloric intake should be based on your weight/height/body type? If you know that you can start making adjustments accordingly. If you focus on either your diet or exercise in such ways (while still doing both) you should be able to make progress. Also losing 2 lbs in a week is very aggressive for most people (most dietitians agree over 1-2 lb. a week is a maximum).

There is a simple rule - not very scientific but it works for me.

This is the formula: It takes 500 calories for 1 pound.
So, your intake minus output (in the form of exercise) should have a difference of 500 calories. I mean, intake is lesser by 500 calories.

But you cannot overdo this formula. You will need 1800 calories just to stay healthy. So, do not consume 1300 cals and hope to lose weight. It does not work because your body goes on a protective mode as it experiences starvation.

The only way to lose weight is to eat right and exercise with the above formula in mind without going over 1800 cals, if male and 1500 cals if female. It is simple as that. It will work.

Golden rule: do not aim to lose more than 1.5 to 2 lbs per week. You will run into health problems.

That's just the way the body works. 2 pounds a week is a good, healthy amount to lose. You can't lose more than that without doing something unhealthy.

But don't get too hung up on the scale. Sometimes you are gaining muscle, and that weighs more than fat. So even though you are slimming down, the scale doesn't show it. Also, your water weight can fluctuate a few pounds here and there. So, once again, even though your body fat is decreasing, the scale doesn't show it.

Keep up the good work and you will see real results over time!

Because most people do not intake the proper amount of water to help the body to rid it's excess weight.Another thing is food combining might be wrong.you maybe eating better but eating certain foods at the wrong time with other foods can cancel the breakdown of the food by destroying the stomach acid that help in the digestion, and allows the water to flush the body. For instance it's normally better to eat fruits or even vegetables up till noon, this is the bodies cleasning cycle.Learn this and you will suceed. You need to go to the library and get book by Harvey Diamond called "Fit for Life"with this book I lost over 50 lbs in one month.I have become more active and feel so much better.I was tipped off to this book by a sister who was diagnosed with cancer and they gave her NO HOPE!at a support meeting she met Mr.Diamond and his wife and she followed a program of eating healthy as suggested by the two. That was many years ago,,sister's cancer disappeared and doctors still can't believe it to this day.(Well actually they can but,if they told people these secrets they'd be out business.Ain't America great, the dollar before one's LIFE!)

You didn't put it on overnight so it's not gonna come off easily. Two pounds a week is very good. Staying the same is fine also. Don't get frustrated. Slow and steady for best results.

1 or 2 pounds a week is good. Its hard for your body to handle losing much more than that.

It also depends on how much you have to lose. For people that have lots (like over 100 pounds) it comes off much quicker for them in the beginning than for someone who has to lose, say 30 pounds.

Stick with it and you'll get there.

Just think 2lbs a week would mean 104lbs in a year! Keep up the good work.

How well is eating well. There are different degrees. Diets do not work. 99% of people gain the weight back. Here is how it works. No one teaches the animal what to eat and what not to eat. He knows instinctively what to eat. Humans also have the same instinct. The way it works is just eat whatever tastes good and that will be healthy for you and non-fattening. That is why a baby tastes everything. So again whatever tastes good, is good for you. This is why you will spit out spoiled milk.

But wait!!! Man has the technology to create rat poison. It tastes like healthy food (good taste) but kills the rat. So man has done that to you. Note- any food unaltered by man (uncooked) that tastes good, is good for you. So if you are stranded in the woods, that is how you know what to eat (cooking changes that). So man has created fake fruit. It tastes like fruit that exists in nature but it is terrrible for health, addictive and fattening called sweets.

So it is natural to like real sweets called fruit, like a baby does, but they have fooled you just like the rat. But they do not want to kill you. They want you to become obese so you will buy lots of their foods. This is called GOOD BUSINESS. Remember the above (not on site) and see site below to re-learn how to eat so you can be thin and fit for life.
