Marks in college, MCAT scores and life experience are pretty much what puts your application in the interview pile vs the non-interview pile. (and if, unfortunately, you happen to end up in the non-interview pile, it is not the end of the world. Last year 3 rejectees from our school showed up in my office, dressed profesionally inquiring about thier status. Needless to say we let them in and they are doing just fine).
Just do yourself a favor and understand fully what you are getting yourself into. Ask yourself why you want to be a doctor. If you say-to help people-well, you can do that a million other ways. Medicne at the MD level is a way of life. You do not leave the job at the office. Keep that in mind when you apply. And do your homework. Not your school homework, but your life homework. When I interview, the first thing I ask is "tell me how you feel about managed health care in the USA". If I get that blank stare, 2 blinks and a tirade that says 'HMO' 8 million times, that person gets rejected. Period. I dont care what thier grades are, what the MCAT score is, how many years they volunteered. It tels me that they did not research medicine as a whole, and are doomed. If I get "wow, I really do not know anything about that subject", they may not be in right away, but it shows that they see that there is a subject that they may need to familiarize themselves with. Do you see what I mean? Its not all about marks.

Don't give up, buttt........ CBSE- doesn't tell us much, not a thing to me, 10 th student- doesn't tell us much, not a thing to me. How much marks- what's that????? Do your best and apply yourself! Then, talk with a counselor and research all the medical schools. There is a vast ray of opportunity- medical school is competitive, but if there is a will there is a way. Good luck!

well, the first step is to get enough marks to land yourself into science stream after that u will have to take up biology as one of the subjects there and prepare for the common entrance test held every year.Be warned it has portions from the two yrs and the multiple choice questions on physics chem &bio have only about 1min each to be answered. There will be about 200-240 questions depending onthe exam

Good choice, we need good doctors.
I don't know much about the grades for this career but what I do know is that A and B students in science make excellent doctors especially in research.
Good luck!
