Declawing my cat cost about $200 for the front claws only. The Humane Society is the cheapest for spaying = ~$55.

Please don't get your cat declawed. I used to work in a vet, and it was so inhumane that many vets refuse to do it. Many people don't know this, but each toe is amputated at the first joint, it's not just the claws that are removed, but part of the toe.. When they wake up, they know. I don't know how, but they do, and it's super-sad to watch them. We used to talk about it in the recovery area, that we never saw that type of reaction to any other surgical procedure. If there is no other option, and it's declaw or put down, then I guess you would have to. It costs about 250 in my area, but then my area is pricey so you will probably get a better price. Good Luck, I know how hard it is to have a cat that scratches stuff.

Declaw/neuter should be ~$200.00 in the northeast US.
FYI...Declaw is amputation of each toe at the fist knuckle. It is very painful for the cats. Many people think it's some sort of a process where the nails are just pulled out. If that were the case, they would grow back. If you have a medical condition where a cat scratch would be problematic, then it's appropriate to declaw.

spayed/neutered-$30-100 depending on the vet. Neutered is cheaper (its all external). Declawing is unnecessary and can damage the nerves in the cats paws. Cats can be trained not to scratch.

Spaying or neutering is fine esp if it's an outdoor cat. Cats need their claws and I'm against declawing. If you're planning on having your cat declawed and letting it roam around outside to me that's animal cruelty. Without their claws cats are defenseless against predators.

I know that it costs about $50 to get it spayed/neutered. I don't know what it costs for declawing because I think it's viciously cruel and it would be horrible to have the cat accidentally slip out the door one day unnoticed, only to find it dead because it couldn't fight back or climb a tree to get away from a predator.

I just rescued a cat I found outside my office. I couldn't find a no-kill shelter that would take him so I decided to keep him myself. I live in Denver and many of the shelters have wellness centers that can neuter/spay and declaw. I know everyone says that declawing a cat is horrible and wrong however, I talked to two different vets and 1 vet tech and all 3 said they have their cats declawed. If it was so inhumane I would think a vet would advise against it instead of encouraging it and doing it to their own kitty.

Spayed or neutered is ok. Declawing is
HORRIBLE!
Let's say your cat is attacked by a dog, and it doesn't have claws, what's it going to do?
Declawing is bad, but I can't stop you at all.
