Regatta's are for yachts as far as I know.

A regatta is an extraordinary sporting event that is fun ,beautiful
and social !
Regattas are for all and can be wonderful events for all the family.
Starting with the very young with the "yingling "class.You can progress until you are a senior citizen and you can still participate in the regatta and have a wonderful close and interesting social life with a great mix of people that are all "hooked" on one thing and that is "WATER" & " BOATS !

Regattas uses a natural and extended environment, and they are visually beautiful. I was participating (just hanging out on the boat) when I was younger in my family yatch; it was a recreational regatta, but still it was wonderfull. And even the people viewing it have fun.
