I have dark dark brown hair, it's almost black.
And I'm planning on getting highlights.. but I'm not sure what color to ask for.
I will absolutley NOT have blond, it looks tacky.
But anyone have any idea of what color will go well with my hair?

I would ask the stylist for a dark caramel but see if she has color swatches for you to look at first or find a picture in a magazine of some gorgeous highlights that you like and show her. Lord knows you can be thinking one thing and they're thinking something totally different...

Dark red or you could do a really dark blond
ask the hairdresser, they should have color swatches you could hold up next to your true color and judge.

chocalate browns ...lighter browns basically..a tip:although chesnut browns cute it can sometimes look reddish so be careful with that colour...and getting too many highlightes will give you a whole colour change

Try shades of red, Something dark.
That's the trend now...
