Sure, if telling the truth I will hurt somebody unnecessarily, and then I rather try to say nothing or just a little lie.
If you mean to betray a partner, in the sense of having somebody else and hiding it, that is something completely different.
For giving an example, I save for sending some small money to my parents because they need it, even though if my husband does not entirely agree. Then I am not telling him all the truth but the reason is to protect my old parents.
Regarding loyalty within us, I never betrayed him with anybody else since I met him. The same way I respect him I demand to be respected. Our deal before getting married was to be honest with each other and get divorced if somebody else was in the way.
I lie to him regarding small matters that are not affecting our relationship or my own self respect and principles. We were born separated and we are different. Somewhere is necessary to keep the harmony at home in small issues and avoid a big fight that usually ends up hurting each other.

EVERYONE on the face of the planet has lied to someone sometime in their life! If they say they have never lied- they are lying about that! lol Everyday we tell little white lies and dont really even realize it. Like when someone says Hi how r u? And u mumble fine when you really feel like crap! Or when u tell someone their haircut looks nice and it looks aweful! Everyone lies on a daily basis. Honey does this make me look fat????? What man in his right mind will say YEP u look like a cow? NONE unless he wants hell! lol As far as Big lies? Most do at some point in their lives. i know I would lie to protect my son or hubby!

I have lied before. I think everyone does. Its human nature. Your gonna lie at some point in your life. Even if you don't mean to. Or maybe its so u don't hurt someones feelings.

i try not to but i do it some times out of curtusy; sometimes not to hurt some's feelings or just to get out of a sticky situation. i generally use it as a last resort but avoid it as much as possible though some times i know i might be doing it for a good cause its morally and ethically against my upbringing and my belifes

at some point evryone does lie ! i will say that yeah i do .. coz evryone does.. at this point of society and the kind of life we all live .. we have to lie !

never ever. i would never do that. it makes you a loser. people only lie about something when they feel guilty about somthing they have done.
