I have feather beds. This is how you do it.Rub it really good with cornstarch to remove dirt then you apply some baking soda after which it sets for a while and then you beat the hell out of it outside like it was an old rug.(you only need to use very light diluted bleach if there is actual visiual mold but,I'm guessing you proably just have MUSTY smell and not mold.that just wouldn't be right unless you gave it the proper conditions to grow and form and if you did you would have to be a slob, which I doubt you are)The matress needs to have a good airing and some sunshine on BOTH sides. The final application is Frebreeze, the only actual odor remover on the market. It will kill and destroy the properties that make up the smell.

Damp wash with a mixture of laundry detergent and javex. Take outside in the sun to dry. Then spray with lysol. If this does't work...try to buying a new matress.

Try heavy doses of Lysol and sun shine. If that fails, throw it out and start over. Mildew can cause rashes besides just smelling.

Put it out side and prop it up against something in the sunshine and fresh air. But make sure it doesn't get rained on, or your problem will only get worse.

I hate to say it but get rid of the mattress. Mildew is no good and it's there - so .... dump the mattress and get a new one.
