I've been asked to take in some purebred puppies and pay for all their care until I find them good homes. I've done rescue before but I had a good job then. If I don't help, they'll go to a high kill shelter. What if I take care of them and can't find good homes? Any honest, sincere answers will be appreciated.

Call the local vets & dept stores. See if they would donate services or merchandise (overstock, returns) Call on friends & neighbors. Find dog lovers like yourself. It takes a special person to take on another's problems.
What breed are they? How old? How many? Where are you located (state or region?)

Just look after them temporarily and put ads in the paper and ask around if anyone wants them. Im sure it wont be too hard to find them a home. If they're purebred im sure you might be able to get a petshop to sell them for you or put up a notice in the petshops. Purebreds are expencive and lots of people want them because by haveing pure blood theyre worth alot more.

its not ur job to save all the animals in the world. Help them if u can but dont sacrifice ur own living. If they are purebred chances are they will find good homes anyway. They are always popular with people and they are puppies so they will b gone in a flash.

Well it is great that you want to help animals, but I don't think you should do it if is is going to put you in financial problems. We can't save every animal in the whole world.
If you have a website I would put some information about them up there so someone might want one. Tell the people you work with, put adds in the newspaper, or make signs and put them around you town.
That is all that I can really think of that might help you. Hope it does.

try going to http://www.petfinder.com and looking for a rescue near you for the types of dogs you have. I would definitely attempt to save them first before consigning them to almost certain death.
If they are purebred, and puppies..I would think you would not have as much problem placing them with good homes as a mixed-breed because of the nature of people.

How much help are you really going to be to them if you become financially burdened? There are plenty of rescues and no kill shelters all over the country (I'm assuming in the US). I would be looking to contact one of those.

Contact a rescue for the particular breed, they might not only find them homes, but help with the bills.

You are more important than dogs. Try finding someone else to take them before you do. But no, I wouldn't do that if I was financially unable to.
