An angel of light.
2 Corinthians 11:14
And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.

Not much on description other than he appears often as a "being of light." Which may mean he physically emits bright light, or it may mean that he pretends to be good to make his evil look good to misguided people. Killing, hatred, and intolerance in the name of God for example.
There is also some description in Revelations of a large serpent. There is also a description of a beast in Revelations that, while I believe references world governments as a whole, may be another description of Satan as well. This beast has 10 heads protruding from 7 necks (some of the necks have two heads) and is extremely large, and emerges from the sea. It may actually be a physical description of Satan rather than a figurative description of world governments that have had a major effect on God's people (the Jews/Israelites at one time and now all of God's people from throughout the world that make up a spiritual Israel now that Jesus has come). For those who want to know those are Egypt, Syria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, and Anglo-America (Britain and America together). Again that is my belief, but there is evidence also that it is in fact another description of Satan.

Well, I haven't read any truthful answers to your question yet.
Satan is a powerful force, but not more powerful than God. His force is for evil purposes, never good. Hence the confusion on why anyone follows or worships him.
As far as his appearance, we could not say exactly. His work comes out in all of us, since we are all sinners. He tempts us all in our lives, but some of us are stronger than his feeble attempts to make us look bad. Just as God is within us, Satan unfortunately surrounds us.
It is our salvation to reach out to God for courage to fight off the temptations that Satan brings. I really don't understand how young people can find comfort in the arms of Satan. He is only using them to do his work and then will throw them aside afterward. Don't wife beaters behave this way? Don't drunken men treat prostitutes this way? He doesn't care about them, can't save them or promise them anything. So, why praise him?
Is having your own way, all the time, that important to people that they would throw their lives away by talking, acting and worshiping evil? What are the benefits?

The Bible says he can disguise himself as an angel of light, but doesn't describe him otherwise.
I doubt if he'll be wearing red pajamas.

Well, he is a spirit creature, and we can't see spirit creatures unless they materialize or show themselves in some other form. So I'd say no one human knows what he really looks like.
