Is there a limit to scope? I mean are you looking for just interesting lessons and methods for a specific subject or an entire curriculum?

In seventh and eighth grades I took these awesome sections on different parts of history. In seventh grade we studied in the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair. We did everything about it - history class obviously, in math we made scale models of different parts of the fair, in science we studied some of the new scientific advances that were on display there, in English we wrote about it (obviously.) We did the same thing in 8th grade, studying WWII. Here, too, we had something to keep us occupied for each subject. I loved these sections because it really taught us a lot about these time periods while sticking to our core subjects. I think this would be an awesome idea for homeschooling, especially since you could take more field trips to integrate everything.

Well, I had a chance to sub- teach. And it was a rewarding experience. What I did was I had a program where every Fridays was college day ( my class was exciting about that, being able to participate in college courses). I choose subjects like: speech 101, Psychology-Sociology (big fancy words). I was really surprise, the class did rather well. It was a lot of fun. And than once a month we would have a party where they could bring their pets (no lizards), family members, their favorite foods and music.

Rebecca Rupp has a book called, "Home Learning, Year-by-Year" that does just this, but for EVERY year. She also lists some resources to use for each subject/grade. See if your local library has it.
Start with Math, Science, History, Composition/Grammar, then throw in some Art/Music and PE, maybe a foreign language - that should keep you busy for a while.

If you are homeschooling, you should contact your states official homeschool agency (google to find it) and they should tell you the laws concerning this.
Each state is different. In my state we have to teach 5 subjects, but 'what' we teach for each subject is not in the laws, so it's up to us.
There is a site called www.worldbook.com that lists what children should learn for each grade.
Also there are books you can get in library called 'what every seventh grader needs to know'
These are excellent for finding out what you need to teach.

permit me get this right now, you're utilising nameless strangers on the internet to construct your youngster's homeschooling curriculum, that's meant to prepare her for the actual worldwide. So, in consequence, a gaggle of nameless people you don't be conscious of something approximately would be figuring out no rely in case your baby is powerful in existence or no longer. this may be a appropriate occasion of why homeschooling is recognised via maximum people of people to be illegitimate.
