Foot warts are called Plantar's warts. They are caused by the same virus as regular warts. They are gotten when you walk barefoot in an environment where someone with plantar's has also been barefoot. That can be a hotel room, a swimming pool area, or most commonly, a shower stall.
They are difficult to control yourself, and can be very painful. Your best advice would be to see a dermatologist, or a podiatrist, and have then removed. The recuperation process is painful however. There are OTC products on the market to "dissolve" warts, and plantar warts. they are basically identical, and are in fact an acid that kills the wart cells. Unfortunately, they take a lot of time, and warts have a nerve ending in their core. When the acid begins reaching the nerve ending, the treatment is very painful, and most people stop using the acid.
Plantar's can eventually go away on their own, just like regular warts. Can take years however, for your body to build up the antigens to attack the virus. Recently, a new technique to accelerate the body immune system, is to cover a wart with masking tape. The rough surface of the tape irritates the wart surface, and signals the body's immune system that their is something is amiss, and the body will begin to attack the virus. Change the masking tape every day.
also , if you are sharing your space with others, be sure you wear shower slippers, or you will infect others.

A wart on the bottom of the foot is most definitely a plantars wart. They are called that because the bottom of the foot is called the plantar, it isn't an odd kind of wart, just means location. You can try OTC wart removers if you want to keep on it for awhile or you can see a dermatologist to have them removed. They will also look to see if there are more smaller warts that are invisible to you that also need removing.

Those are probably "Plantar Warts" like a little bump really. It comes from going barefoot, and you pick up the annoying little things! You can use compound "W" liquid, or band aid looking kind. They work well. If not then see a dermatologist. Hope this helps you.

Yes, they are called plantar warts.

Try using the wart remover that freezes them off, I forget the name of it but its made by compound W.

If you use that once every 2 weeks for a month, it should go away if they are new.

if they have been growing for some time though, you may need to go to a podiatrist to have them removed.
