Sugar is a carb. When alcohol breaks down in your blood stream, it turns into glucose (sugar), thus the sugar cravings.

No, the only sign of alcoholism is the inability to stop drinking or thinking about drinking. It's much more complicated than that, but it doesn't have anything to do with craving carbs or sugar, just alcohol.

someone that binge drinks and can't handle alcohol IS the sign of alcoholism.
