I have one of those - have you got the netgear router too? Check the instructions with the router and make sure they match the number on the back of the router. I got the wrong bloody instructions - they were for another router. If you use the router before you got the dongle and everything was OK - faulty dongle take it back and ask for a good one or money back. Not fit for it's purpose under the Sale Of Goods act. If you got the dongle with a router/modem from netgear - check the model number on the back of the router/modem and a firmware upgrade will probably fix the problem. they have a router/modem/dongle pack they are dumping on the UK market as a "new" one. I had one. I didn't get the blue screen but had other problems - and the firmware upgrade fixed them.

Did you use the installation CD? If so, what comes on the CD is probably having issues with SP2. I suggest going to Netgear's site and downloading the WHQL driver.

Check your drivers for conflicts, also, if only one program causes it to crash use a substitute, if bitcommet is a bittorrent thing-a-ma-jig try another like bittornado
