It also comes down to image and contradiction. Each book is inspired by the opinion of the person writing them. The church wants only its opinion to be heard because they feel that is the only true accepted opinion.
Yes its good to hear all sides because the truth of it lies somewhere in the middle of them all.

Not really. The bible isn't always truth i mean it wasn't directly written by Jesus. it was written by the diciples and they changed some things because when u retell a story u alter it just a little even though u may not trying to because the original person's story IS going to be a little different, so still no.
BUT i would like to read the ones written by the women because some women did write books of the bible, but the men had to take them out cause women weren't allowed (it was a sexist move on the men's part)

Only if we could would we be able to see a possible idea of what is fact. We all should never stop seeking the truth, for some to say that the bible is all there is, is sad. We are here to learn and to experience for God. There is alot more and some of it is locked away by Those who think we are incapable of knowing the truth, because then they would not be so powerful.
No Satan, No Guilt, No Fear,
God is Love, the truth will set you free.

There are only 66 recognized book of the Bible.
The test they used to call a book scripture was without fault!
1. Was written by an Apostle or a disciple of an apostle
2. Statements made must stand up to the Old Testament
3. Must be accepted and read by the majority of the church's at that time.

There aren't 600 books in the Bible. They weren't take out - they were never "in" in the first place. Old Testament books needed to be written by a prophet in order to be accepted; New Testament books needed to be written either by an apostle or an inspired writer who accompanied an apostle (such as Mark and Luke).
If you read some of these other books, and see the contradictions in them, you know why they were never treated like Scripture.

I would love to read 600 books! but are they boring?
any yuks? is it all preachy? too much doom and gloom?
do they have zombies? pirates? racecars? huge explosions?
If I'm going to commit myself to read something, it has to be a little bit interesting...
Remember, the power to release the knowledge is in the hands of men.
men who fear change, men who hate to be wrong.
Those books will not be released unless they have no new information.
and if the contents were benign, why would they have been "lost" in the first place?
best to keep god safe in your heart, for out in the world of men, He is vulnerable.

Why would anyone ever consider copycats and dissenters writings as part of legitimate scripture.
Just cause it's old doesn't make it right or true.
