I'm getting my hair cut today - so I need quick answers. What kind of hair cut should I get? Shoulder length or shorter? It seems as if I've tried everything. Layered or one length like classic? I'm in my 40's and I may cut a couple inches off with some layers.

A classic bowl cut will work best.

EDIT: Alfawolfette: Then you should definitely pick me as best answerer. :-)

Ask your hair stylest about the Victoria's Secret Cut. If they're knowledgeable, they should know what this is. If not, the hair is cut dry with tons of layers but the length is still kept. Then the hair is wash, blown out and cut a final time with more layers.

I think you should get it cut into long layers. That way you can have curl and body on the ends without having layers all the way through your hair.

How about a buzz cut or a mullet? Just kidding, layered looks best.

It depends on a lot of things, your face shape, your height, your nose, your neck length, your weight.
What's popular today, and easy to keep, is long on top and short in the back.

I think since since you have had many styles let the beautician decide.
If your not afraid to try something new let them know what you want then leave the rest up to them.
Justmake sure they show you how to style it before leaving.
