They have similar styles and they are both Chinese . Both have studied various forms of Kung Fu,Gung Fu,Wing Chung, and western boxing. They also are both extremely fast and powerful. This would be a beautiful sparing match to see....aaaahhhhhh!!!

i completely agree with you, it would be a match made in heaven.. they are both extremely diverse martial artists and would both be extremely fast and agile.. i couldn't make a prediction on this one, sadly we'll just never know for sure...

and for those who don't do their homework, jet li began studying the art of wushu (authentic wushu, not contemporary) and was enrolled in the beijing amateur sports school at the age of 8. after three years he won his first national championship for the beijing wushu team. as part of a world tour in 1974, he had the honor of performing a two-man fight for president nixon on the white house lawn. for the next five years, he remained the all-around national wushu champion of china.

This would be a great match!
I would have to give it to Jet Lee because he has alot of experience in tournament fights. Bruce Lee didn't compete much (if any) in tournaments.
In an all out street match Bruce Lee would win.

Jet Li was asked this in an interview. He said that he has never been in a real altercation while Bruce has had many real life experiences. Jet said Bruce would win and he would know.

( I don't know where I saw the interview, for some reason I keep thinking it was done during the filming of "The One")

Jet Li is a phenomenon, but Bruce Lee was probably the greatest martial artist of the modern era. I don't think too many people throughout history would match him for speed and explosive force.

Bruce Lee hands down! Jet Li is quick and powerful, but Bruce was a proven street fighter who came to america because his parents were worried about the trouble he was getting into. lookup his story on the net. Jet Li is nobody to laugh at, but he's also a pale comparison to Bruce ;)

Tss, Bruce Lee would win easily, I'm not a fan of his really, but at least he could fight and was a MARTIAL artist, Jet Li is just a goddamn actor and performer, he even said himself that in an interview for Craddle Grave (or something like that). He was a wu shu forms champion, but you don't win fights with FORMS!!

Bruce was very tough. He actualy got into fights, all the time during filming, through out most of his life. I think Li is a pretty fighter, but I think Bruce would win, because he would never quit. Heart like a lion.

Bruce, hands down, he was more of a true street fighter and Jet Li is a theatrical fighter. Besides Bruce wrote the book on modern tactics in his own style of fighting!

No contest....

Bruce would destroy him. Bruce actually studied combat arts, Jet Li studied Wushu (authentic or not, it's still wushu)...and while i'm sure Jet Li has some amazing legitimate skill....it's a hands down loss to Bruce who flat out dedicated his life to personal development within and outside of the combat arena.

Duh....

No brainer.

Bruce Lee hands down. No disrespect to Jet Li who is a legitimate martial artist. Lee though took his art to level that most artists rarely take their art. His art became more than fighting but a way for him to express his personality and beliefs about life and humanity. His martial arts were deep.

For those saying that Jet Li is not a true martial artist your wrong. Say it to his face and see how real he is.
