I got to know this guy,first we were just friends he called everyday ..I started falling for him.One night he told me he loves me so a few days later I told him I love him too.
His best friend had liked me for a while before I got to know him but he knew about that....however he stopped calling about a week after he told me how he feels ,when I called him he said his best friend felt obligated to share something with him (regarding me) and needs to figure out how to handle it.
Its been 6 mths now and he barely communicates with me,always the cold shoulder treatment.I keep asking him to talk to me about it and be honest but he never answers me.
I never went out with his friend or anything ,I never liked him in a romantic sense but he did.
What do u make of it? Should I call it quits?

yes. he sounds immature. he isn't willing to communicate. red flag. if he really loved and cared, he would be willing to hear your side of the story.

You're being nothing but nice to him and he's brushing you off , that's not cool ..
Think about it for a second if he's being like this now and you're not even dating imagine if you were dating and you guys got into a fight ..

tell him how you feel toward him. I bet his friend didn't do you any favores. Tell him you didn't care for his friend but you do care for him. Good Luck Remember theres lots of fishes in the sea

you should call it quits, cause he doesnt want to break his realtionship with his friend, just forget about him, move on, and when he realizes he missed out on somthing, maybe you will get back together. just take it day by day.
