Most dogs can stop eating puppy food and start eating regular dog food at about a year. If you are wondering at what age can a puppy start eating solid food, from drinking mothers milk it is usually around 8 weeks. I'm not sure which you are looking for puppy food to adult food, or milk to solid food, but this should answer them both. Good Luck:)
P.S. Remember that when you change a dogs food, no matter the age, the dog will probably have diarrhea for a day or so until they adjust to the new food. Just thought I'd give a heads up.:)

Start giving a puppy canned food mixed with canned puppy formula at about 4 weeks of age. Then at about 6 to 7 weeks slowly remove the formula from the mix and give only canned food. Then at about 8 to 10 weeks introduce dry food and at 12 weeks you can stop the canned food and go to just dry food if that is what you want to give them. After a year go from puppy chow to adult dog food. Hope I helped!

The breeder or rescue can give you information about that. Or contact a dog-owning friend for opinions.

IF YOU RECIEVE THE PUP IT SHOULD BE EIGHT WEEKS OLD AND ALREADY EATING SOLID FOOD...IF YOU HAVE A LITTER OF PUPS WITH THIER MOTHER, YOU SHOULD AT ABOUT FIVE WEEKS OCCASIONALLY WHEN YOU SEE THAT THEY ARE GOING TO NURSE, START TAKING THEM AWAY IMMEDIATELY AND SEPERATE THEM FROM THE MOTHER GIVE THEM HARD FOOD SOFTENED TO MUSH, VERY LITTLE THE SAME AMOUNT TO EACH PUP(IF YOU SEE ONE IS QUITE A BIT SMALLER MAYBE GIVE HER A TINY BIT MORE...A TABLESPOON IS ALOT TO START (DEPENDING ON THE SIZE AND BREED, THEN GIVE THEM )BACK TO MOM AND THEY SHOULD ONLY NURSE FOR A LITTLE BIT...IF YOU HAVE KEPT TRACK OF THE NUMBER OF TIMES THEY NURSE IN A DAY(YOU SHOULD HAVE STARTED TO SEPERATE THEM FROM HER BY NOW ANYHOW TO LET HER BUILD UP STRENGTH AND JUST TO GIVE HER A BREAK THAT CAN START AS EARLY AS THREE WEEKS A LITTLE BIT AT A TIME JUST FOR HER,NOT COUNTING FOR HER MEALS AND POTTY TIMES), ANYHOW DO THIS ABOUT ONE THIRD OF THE TIMES THEY FEED,AND BE READY TO TAKE THEM OUT ALMOST IMMEDIATELY,OR YOU'LL HAVE A MESS, ANYTIME YOU CHANGE THIER DIET THIER LITTLE SYSTEMS WILL CHANGE TOO, IT HAS TO ADAPT, THEN KEEP UPPING THE TIMES "YOU" FEED THEM,AS THEY START COMING AWAY FROM HER UP THE FOOD, GO BY THE FOOD TABLE,BUT THAT IS ALWAYS A LITTLE HIGH IN THE AMOUNT(USE THE HARD FOOD AND MAKE IT VERY SOFT)(MAKE A SCHEDULE SO BY EIGHT WEEKS THEY ARE ON ALL SOLID) IAMS IS THE BEST...AND I WOULD DO IT ATLEAST WITH IAMS FOR THE FIRST YEAR, I KNOW IT IS EXPENSIVE BUT WORTH IT IN THE LONG RUN, IF YOU CAN'T KEEP IT UP AFTER A YEAR, YOU KNOW THAT YOU GAVE HIM A GOOD START,BACK TO THE FEEDING, IF YOU KEEP TAKING THEM OR IT OUT EVERYTIME IT IS DONE EATING OR DRINKING...IT WILL HOUSE TRAIN ITSELF!!!, BUT AS YOU TAKE THEM AWAY FROM MOM, AND GIVE THEM MORE FOOD, MAKE THE PASTE A LITTLE HARDER, A BIT AT A TIME AS NOT TO BIND THEM UP CAUSE THAT'S NOT FUN EITHER, BUT EVENTUALLY BY EIGHT WEEKS SHE WILL NOT ALLOW THEM TO NURSE AS THEY REALLY WON'T BE "WITH" HER AND THEY WILL BE EATING SOLID ON THEIR OWN...I AM NOT SOMEONE FROM IAMS OR ANYTHING, I HAVE JUST FOUND THAT IT SEEMS TO GIVE THEM A HEALTHY START, AND IF YOU WANT TO AFTER IT IS WELL ESTABLISHED WITH THE HARD FOOD, YOU CAN ADD SOME OF THE IAMS CANNED FOOD TO THE HARD, AS BEFORE NOT TOO MUCH OR HE'LL HAVE THE POOPS OR THROW-UP...AND THAT HAPPENS EVEN IF THEY ARE POTTY TRAINED,AND YOU SHOULD ALWAYS FOR THIER LIFEGIVE HARD FOOD, EVEN IF YOU ARE GIVING SOFT, IT HELPS THIER TEETH, THEY ARE DESIGNED TO EAT HARD THINGS, OR THEY GET LIKE GUM DISESES AND WILL LOSE THIER TEETH.. NEED ANYTHING, CAUSE YOU DIDN'T GIVE ALOT OF INFO, E-MAIL ME I'LL TRY TO HELP, I HAVE RAISED PROBABLY 12 DOGS IN MY LIFE SOME FOR OTHERS TO GET THEM STARTED AND POTTY TRAINED!!!, GOOD-LUCK...LEAZA

At about a year. It should tell you on the bag of food. There are usually charts.
