Which acts of violence are you talking about in the Old Testament? And what do you mean by keeping silent? Pls provide Bible verses then we'll probably can give a better answer. Give a specific example. Otherwise you just seem to be accusing the Bible of something that is not.

The Bible is the Old Testament and the New Testament together, so the Bible is not silent at all on those stories!

There was more than enough to write about in NT times. There was no reason to re-tell the stories of the OT.

As John put it in John 21:25 "Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written."

Most likely because the stories of war against other peoples in the Bible (I'm assuming you are talking about the texts that speak about God commanding the Israelite people to enter a land and kill every man, woman, and child) are written from a biased standpoint. Those who wrote the texts believed they were involved in a God endorsed, holy war. I'm sure those who were attacked didn't feel that the Israelite people were terribly righteous.

If it records the evil acts (as well as all the good acts) that it records, then, in fact, it is not silent.

Read the new testament (with help, of course, you'll need it.) and learn.

Perhaps, because it is a new life, sort of. Jesus Christ came into our lives, as our savior. Perhaps, it shows a starting over, sort of.
