I've heard so many people talk about Garnier Fructis hair products- shampoos and conditioners, andI hear they are soupposed to be quite good. What specific product would be good for my hair?

My hair is thick and below my chin, it's black, and it gets frizzy easily and is pretty damaged from my swimming lessons (chlorine). Otherwise, it is still a bit frizzy, and I want it to be silky smooth and straight. For some reason my bangs go wavy, though my hair is naturally straight.

Thanks!

When I used Garnier Fructis, my hair started falling out... it was weird because I thought I was just going bald naturally... but when I stopped using the shampoo and got something else, my hair stopped falling out... odd...

Try Sleek and Shine Fortifying Shampoo and the conditioner that's in the same line. I used to be swimmer as well and the chlorine really fried my hair. Garnier products really saved it!! But another really good thing for your hair would be to get a cup of mayonnaise and rub it through your hair like shampoo. Sounds crazy I know, but it makes it SOOOOO unbelievably sleek and shiny. This is because the oils and vitamins that it contains really soak in during the 30 minutes you keep it in before you rinse it off. Mayo is GREAT STUFF.

O ya, Garnier Fructis is awesome. I suggest getting the Sleek and Shine Shampoo and Conditioner. It's for Frizzy, Dry, and Unmanagable hair. It makes your hair so soft w/out weighing it down. It also gives your hair a fruity sort-of smell. But it's just great, u should really try it.

I honestly swear by Garnier Fructis. I have very thick, dry, and frizzy curly hair. I've tried many of their products and all of them seem to work..I've used the following products
-Garnier Fructis Smoothing Milk: this worked really well on my hair..its a cream that makes your hair really soft and smooth and doesnt leave it dry or frizzy which is why i love it. (you shouldnt be worried about your bangs getting wavy because the Smoothing Milk isnt like a gel or mousse that makes ur hair curly or anything..it just adds shine to your natural hair and takes away the frizz)
-Garnier Fructis (ill be calling it GF from now on) Hard Curl: this one is a gel and leaves my hair kinda crunchy and gives it that wet look which i really like..it also defines my curls and weighs down the frizz
-GF Full Control Hair Spray: I usually use this if i have to go somewhere all day and i want my hair to stay how it looked in the morning and it works reallyyy well
-GF Curl Construct Mousse: this one is a mousse and leaves it really nice and curly without making it hard..this is probably the one i use the most followed by the GF Curl Shaping Spray Gel
-GF Curl Shaping Spray Gel: this ones pretty self-explanatory..it shapes your curls and gives it that wet look without making it hard or crunchy

LOL it sounds like im promoting or advertising Garnier Fructis lol..but i really do love their products except for one of them..i forgot what its called but it was in a little plastic jar..and i dunno..its really sticky and it just makes my hair feel dirty when its not..HOwever, one plus is that it smelled GREAT..and all GF products smell great too!

anyway..personally i really love GF products and i totally recommend it..but it all depends on what works for you and what you're comfortable with..good luck!

I used Garnier about three times and it just weighed my hair down and made it heavy and greasy looking.

I have a very good friend who uses ENJOY like another commenter and her hair is absolutely gorgeous. It's about $15 a bottle, which seems like a lot, but when you think about it, spending $5 every week trying stuff that doesn't work gets expensive, too. So I'd say go to the salon and get something a little higher quality. You wouldn't need to use as much since it's better stuff, so it isn't like you'll be going through a $15 bottle a week.

Also, take your vitamins and get regular trims!
Good luck!

well I dont have straight hair and use a different shampoo, but I am faithful to using tGarnier Fructis conditioner.

Since I have natual curly hair it gets frizz all the time.
One thing do after washing and using conditioner is towel dry my hair then put a small palms worth in my hair of the conditioner it keeps it from frizzing and makes it curl up real tight.

I also use it when I blow dry my hair then straighten it.
It works both ways.
I use sleek and shine fortifying cream for frizzy dry or unmanagable hair

I love Garnier! It is cheap, but is quality. I use the "Long and Strong" formula, which helps for strength and split ends. I also use the deep conditioner, which is amazing! You should use it once a week no matter what kind of product you end up buying. I have used the dry and damaged formula before. It really helped my hair recover from me dyeing it too much. The conditioner also detangles really well if you have problems with knots. I definitely recommend the dry and damaged (and the deep conditioner)!!!

I have hair similar to yours but i can't really answer to the chlorine problem... however i use sleek and shine and it defrizzes my hair very well. The hair serum i think they call it that you apply after you get out of the shower really helps, however after awhile it tends to smell a little funny in my opinion. For your wavy bangs, maybe you should just use a staightener which if you're using the garnier stuff doesn't tend to make hair frizz too badly.
