Is 'eeewww' colloquialI? I 've seen the word only in written word, and just want to know how to read or pronunce it.

I understood the meaning of the word by asking others on other q &a in Y! answers, so now I am not asking the meaning of it.

Yes, I guess you could label it as a colloquial word. It is nearly an expression, summed up in a sound that can be spelled out with any an "e" and several "w"s following it.

Pronounce it by making the long "e" sound and follow by the long "u" sound. End the sound with the "w" sound such as in the first part of the the word "what".

Now say those three sounds together like it was one word.

Like when u don't like something, and you say "Ewww, that's grows!"

You have to pronounce it very expressively and make a gesture with your face.

The pronunciation would be /i:iu/

ee-ee-yoo-oo

either end of the word can be elongated to add effect. it of course implies extreme disgust
