my family and i planned a trip to visit atlanta and also nice lodges in georgia and most of the lovely places in the south or midwest..im i dont mean to offend anyone..just taking pictures and a hotel stay

Ah, I am so sorry that you even have to ask this question.
But, the answer is definitely yes; America is a very safe place to visit. Once, you come here to visit you will see for yourself. Plus, you will see many other Asians who are not just visiting but also are living here.
Please, do not be afraid; we Americans are very different than the culture you are used too. But, deep down most Americans are very kind, and loving.
Ignore, all the answers that you received here that seem crude and mean spirited. Most of them are just being immature, silly, and showing off.
There maybe a small language problem but that can be worked out. Just speak slowly.
Above all when you get here have fun, see as much as you can because we are a very diverse people. Most of us are descedents of immigrants who came here years ago.
Carry a cell phone, at all times and if you get lost; call 911 and ask to be connected to the nearest police department. No matter what you have heard most of our police will be kind and helpful.

I am from Oregon but i got stationed down south in the military.
yes there is a big problem with racism down south. but it is mainly between whites and blacks. Anyone who says otherwise needs to take their blinders off. In my oppinion racism is the ugliest thing in the world. but i have seen it here in a big way.
Asians dont have any problems. as a matter of fact asians are accepted very well no matter where you go in america.
I have never encountered any people that were pejudiced against asians.
so go have fun. just remember to stay in the touristy parts of town. dont go wandering into places that you dont see any other tourists.

Safe? Absolutely, especially for tourists who are spending money. You'll be in danger only if you go to places where anyone would be in danger - and believe me, local law enforcement works very hard to keep tourist areas safe.

Yes, but watch for signs that say, "NO ASIANS ALLOWED". Of course your welcome anywhere in America. I certainly enjoy travels to Asian countries and always feel welcomed by the Asian people. If you have any problems just throw some Karate on them. Have a great time and Welcome to America!

The midwest is totally safe..well except the occasional transient..but they don't bite, I sware.
