For two people who just met and are not even sure they want to go out with each other. Maybe the girl just wants to be friends. Is going to the pier for a walk and some lunch a good date to feel out the other person?

A day time date is always best when you don't know someone very well. If you like the time you spend with her during a lunch date then you can ask her for an evening date. I think you have the right idea. Good luck and God bless!

I'd say for a first date, have lunch together at a real casual place. Nothing too fancy or too laid back, just comfortable. And go do something fun like miniature golfing. Having fun and being able to talk is important, while getting to know one another. A walk on the pier is nice, but I think that's more of a romantice setting. Save that one for later, when you're dating. Good luck!

Dinner is a good start. You can sit and not be so distracted by people or animals. Sitting and breaking bread with someone will let you know a whole lot more about them than walking around somewhere. You can see the expression on the persons face across the table and kind of find out what the person likes to eat and it not so uncomfortable that you have to put on a show, it's just dinner.

I'd go for smoothies or coffee or something short so that if you hate it you can end it, but if you like it you can just keep adding on to your date. If you want an activity that can be short go for a 2 hour hike or fly a kite in a park somewhere. Activities that don't involve food and encourage talking are usually good first date activities.

actually dinner on a pier and talking while watching the sun go down is a great way to find out. its very romantic and it would put you in a great mood.

A good first date is when a person takes you some place nice he/she don't have to take u no where they can cook an candle lit dinner and play some slow jam.
