Please only answer if you are a Christian. Thank you.

I am a Christian. I believe in evolution. I have 3 questions for my fellow Christians.

1. Do you believe in evolution too?

2. If you don't believe in evolution, do you think I am not a true Christian (and going to Hell) or simply misled (but still a Christian)?

3. Why don't you believe that evolution and God could both exist? Or, why do you think they could? God created the world, and in that world evolution occurred, leading up to humans, who are in the image of God. The Bible is still true, but some of the stories are metaphors or simply how the writers understood the world at that time. That's what I believe. Why can't this be the case? Why is it necessary to condemn evolution?

I have no problem with evolution. I believe things do evolve.

No and we are here to learn, worry what the LORD thinks , not people, read the BIBLE and learn from it , your heart will tell you the truth.

I condem nothing, i concentrate on the good, let the negative go. Just keep up your studies and keep your faith in GOD, it doesn't really matter how we came about, I just happy we did!

1. No

2. You can be a Christian and not believe in evolution. However, if you were able to set aside the idea of evolution, you would find it an enriching experience, as you would be set free from the doubts in the accuracy of the Bible that govern your thinking at this time. Also, if you have children or will have them someday, they will have a hard time resisting the secularism of schools to retain Christian beliefs.

3. The Bible is very clear, not just in Genesis but in almost every book, that the creation account is true. If it were "just a story", then why would He find the need to remind us, over and over, that He created EVERYTHING. If you read the Bible regularly, you will know that this is true. Even in the New Testament... Jesus referred to Genesis many times, clearly from a reference point of accepting it to be true as written. Peter wrote that in the last days, people would deny... (see 2 Peter 3). This denial is embodied today in the teaching of evolution.

The Bible teaches that death entered the world as a result of Adam's sin. In Romans, Paul specifically asserted that, as well as the fact that "the wages of sin is death." If mankind developed as a result of evolution, then death and suffering were here long before Adam. If that were the case, and the account of Adam's creation and sin was just a story, and death was just something that God designed into the original creation, then who needs a Savior?

The Bible is generally very clear on what is literally true and what is a metaphor. Many who think Genesis 1 is a metaphor also don't believe in a worldwide flood. But the physical evidence of the Flood is all around us. I recently returned from a rafting trip in the Grand Canyon and saw powerful evidence for the Flood myself.

One final point, although lots more could be made: If one tosses aside certain passages of the Bible as metaphorical, how does one know where to stop? Thus, some believe that Jesus didn't perform miracles, didn't really die, and/or didn't rise from the dead. Paul declares that if Christ is not risen then our faith is useless.

Thanks for asking the question. Sorry this answer is so long.

I am a christian and I believe in evolution.

I believe more specifically in micro evolution. Micro is real and able to be proven. All it states is that over time, the *same* species will change over time to adapt to it's environment. Like birds getting longer beaks in a drought, for instance.

Macro evolution is what I don't believe in... at least not to the extent that Darwinists are trying to push as truth. I don't believe a fish can turn into a human being over a timepsna of billions of years. It is just not going to happen. It is a slight bit more believeable that humans and monkeys could have a common ancestor... however... the bible specifically states that the Lord made people AFTER the animals.

About the 7 days of Genesis... this is open to interpretation man. A day can be a thousand years, right? Well heck it can be billions then. Obviously the earth is billions of years old, and I can't fathom how some christians believe it is only 6 thousand years old. Talk about repressing logic...

I think there's a possibilty that you could be misled, but I don't think that will stop you from being saved. As long as you can believe in Jesus's divinity and have accepted Him into your heart and you are now living your life for Him... whether or not you believe we once were fish probably doesn't matter much to God. I bet he is just sitting there laughing at all the dumb ideas we get.

There is no incompatibility between the existence of God and evolution but that is not the argument. Evolution is something which is contradictory to what is contained in the Bible and therefore undermines the Bible. If it does this then it suggests that the Bible is not true and as that is the basis of Christianity it also destroys it. I think that the metaphor argument is no valid because metaphors cannot be stretched that far otherwise they can mean anything you want them to mean so that they end up being meaningless.

answer #1 - No I don't believe in Evolution

answer #2 - I don't know if you are a Christian or if you are going to Hell that is solely between you and God.

answer #3 - I don't believe in evolution because the Bible says that: And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7

It says nothing about God created a cell and then eventually over a course of hundreds of millions of years a human was formed. No it say God formed man of the dust of the ground. So if evolution is true then that mean the Bible in false. And I'm sorry but the is never wrong.

I am a Christian.
1: NO
2: Uninformed, because you have not studied the Bible much.
3: Gen 1,2. Gen 2:7 "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul." The Bible IS the true word of God and not some metaphor or understanding of some man, it is true and it is factual. I condemn evolution because IT COULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED, not and believe the account that God has given, to do so is to tell God that He is a liar!

First I do not believe in evolution.

Second I do not want to say that you are not a Christian since I do not know your heart so I lean that your just misled.

Finally I Believe GOD created the Earth and all things in 6 24 hours Days. Also to believe in Evolution is hard to believe than GOD Created all things.

in answer:
1- No i don't believe in evolution.

2-i think ur a christian but a misled one.

3-They can't co-exist because evolution claims that humans were not the first humans but we cam out from other creatures that came out from other creatures that came out from other creatures (u get the drift) while my Bible says that God created animals and seas aside and the created specifically Adam and eve was brought out of the ribs of adam while he was asleep,it also says that adam and eve had close re;ationship with God. If we accept evoluton then we say God didn't create humans directly but rather a series of reactions did. also evolution denies how sin came into the world,it denies that adam was the first human and it denies that there was a God that created the earth but rather believes in a series of reaction occuring to bring about humankind. we condemn evolution bcos like other things if u let it put a foot in the door it tends to want to come all the way inside amd over turn the truth and christians reject it because we know were facing end times, the devil is ready to bring out anything o make us trip,to decieve us,to distract and to put doubt in our minds,if evolution starts to be accepted by Christians worldwide can u imagine where christianity will be in 10years-noway,non existant.

I don't think God and evolution are completely incompatible. There is adaptation of a species to consider. I can't picture Adam and Eve being apes, but hey, I wasn't there. And I've seen other instances where science actually proves the Bible rather than refutes it.

You are NOT going to Hell for believing in evolution. [in my opinion] But I don't think I'd go as far down that road myself.

May God Bless you and reward you as you search for His truths in your life.

It is my belief that a species of Ape once existed. Because they resemble humans in many forms does not necessarily mean that we evolved from them. If that were the case...why do we still have apes? Gorillas? Monkeys? Why did they stay the same and not evolve? I believe in creation as the Lord describes it.
No...Your are not hell bound no matter what you believe about that particular issue. Since you are Christian and have accepted Christ...you are saved.
