It's natural selection in the works, but since there has been no new genetic information added (coding for smaller beaks was already present in the DNA), it is not an example of evolution.

Thats an interesting site, I had a good laugh over the museum that has Adam and Eve and dinosaurs together. Pre-Cambrian rabbit, where art thou?
Yes there are still apes. There are still monkeys. There is also a little shellfish that lives off the coast of Japan called Linguella. fossils of this creature have been found that are over 500 million years old. Evolution happens, but evolution does not HAVE to happen. If the same environmental conditions prevail as they did in the past eons, there is no need to adapt to succeed.

Evolution verse creation ..
You only have to look around you to see evolution at work!. Take a look at flowers birds insects and your next door neighbor!.. The bible is just a book created from many old stories passed on by word of mouth, from generation to generation.. If society was to fall apart now and everything else was lost except a few stories about harry potter!, then in few hundred years time, HP would be worshiped, in much the same way has Jesus is these days.
The only god that exists is in the hearts / and minds of those who care to believe in it, and for those of us who don't believe then its just an anachronism.
each to their own!..

Evolution is definitely evident among the adaptations of many species, including humans. It all just depends how you interpret them. For many religious members of society, being open to the idea of evolution would mean they are traitors to their God and beliefs. However, aside from religion, there are many proven theories that evolution has taken place many many times among populations of animals & hominids. Hope that helped!!

If you study modern biology, you will understand that the "instructions" for life is "written" in DNA, and that 99.9% of organisms (including bacteria, plants, birds, fish, monkeys, and people) have this in common. Having DNA in common explains how bacteria, birds, fish, monkeys, people, and all other forms of life are related. And it seems logical that more complex forms of life (plants, birds, fish, monkeys, and people) evolved from less complex forms (bacteria, fungi, single-celled eukaryotes). It requires some faith to believe in evolution, just as it requires faith to believe in God and religion. That being said, evolution cannot be proven by one finding, but by several pieces of evidence. And you can find that evidence.

I seriously doubt it, it takes 20,000 years for a single mutation to take hold in a human population, (like whites having thinner nostrils to warm the air when sapiens first moved to Europe).

wouldnt call it proof, but definetly adds to the argument. animals learn to adapt to thier surroundings, and that could be viewed as a form of evolution.

Duh, evolution is how we are here. I'm sorry but i don't believe in magic and miracles. And that is all "God" is, Imagination. But if you really think about it, science is closer to the reason we are here. If "God" created us, then why would he create more planets, but empty? And why would he allow horrible things to happen? Just a thought.
