All the fighting in the world is mostly over religion and also a lot of them seem to be preaching nutters. If they want to have a religion fine, don't go preaching to peoples homes on a Sunday morning!

Religion lies at the root of most of the world's problems. Because religion is all about irrational beliefs ( NOT backed up by any facts) people have to cling on to their own belief rather than agree that something else may also be possible because their belief is all they CAN cling to. The thing that puts me off religion the most is the intolerance caused by it and the tunnel vision a lot of religious people have, i.e. "What I believe in is right, therefore anyone who believes anything else must be wrong".

What puts me off is all the really terrible things that happen in the name of GOD at the hand of religion. Take the middle east for example. If that land ever really was holy, God must surely hate it now. Or the crusades, would God really have wanted to see people burned at the stake? Pedophyle priests? I don't want to have anything to do with such a God.
Also, I really don't care for the good ole boy mentality that goes with membership of many churches. Some of them are nothing more than fraternities with a huge PR campaign.
Its sad, I'm sure there are many really loving and decent people who believe, and it goes without saying that there are many many terrible things happening at the hands of those who don't, but I'd just as soon have nothing to do with it. I have my own beliefs and my own relationship with what I call GOD. I don't need to join a club to feel better about myself or meet people who I have things in common with.

Born again christians who are very self righteous and trust me there is alot of them out there. Especially independent fundamental baptist churches. Some of them are more then happy to help the needy but only to a point so they can say "Look everybody I helped out the needy!" Also pastors who preach 75% of the time about the 10% tithe of payroll checks. If money is the root of all evil why do pastors beg for it? Another thing is christians who question somebodys salvation. It's like this "Oh did you see Brian the other day instead of being in church I seen his car at the bar he's not saved!" If only those self righteous christians took a little more time to know the truth that I work as a chef at a bar and grill! Also holier then thou christians they are the worse. I have the worse father-in-law he's a born again christian and if me and my family don't go to church every time the doors are open he ignores us and his grand children now tell me what kind of christian does that? HAHA a very self righteous christian thats who!

I think that religion is a system, that was developed to worship God.
It turned around and became a business, and worshiped itself in some instances.
It was infiltrated by people who didn't really believe that there was a God.
Then there were the spin offs, that support the religion, other businesses.
Black cloth for instance.
It is an external system to worship God.
True religion is internal.
If you have true religion, you don't need the external system.
You worship internally. No one even know it.
It is of the Spirit.

I can't stand being told what to do or what to believe.
"Pray 8 times a day" is not something I would care to follow.
"Believe this" with no benefit or actual reason to believe it is silly.
Which is why I am a christian! It is a relationship of love and not rules. The few rules that there are are easy to follow and are obviously good for you and all mankind. Any time I have a question on theology, a pastor has been able to answer it for me, and then using my own beliefs I have been able to agree or understand it.

What I hate is when people of any religion try to cram their beliefs down your throat! Or another one-they have a judgemental attitude about you and your beliefs. There is a lot of common ground in religions, I think we should be tolerant and realize this and treeat each other the way God told us to. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Judgement- my whole lifes experience being shown to me like a holographic vedio, experiencing all the pains of my mistakes and occasional joys of my right choises.
Not acomplishing my lifes grand mission what ever it is and seeing jesused dissapointed gaze, how can he be pleased? however loving he truely is?
Is it likely that I'll go to heaven? Hell? or a place of lost souls? maybe I even have to come back here for another round, in another country, as another person?
I may change my mind about it in the near future but right now I probably would not reccomend it to my friends.

They have to many beliefs and customs some of which can't be found in the bible. I have no religion, I just believe and accept Jesus as my Lord and savior and son of God and follow his instructions in the bible. Religion can become confusing and crazy.

most people apply more critical thinking to buying a candy bar than they do to the religion that they choose
