I have a wonderful Mr. Coffee coffee maker. Among the features it has; a timer to start the coffee brewing 15 mins before I get up in the morning (but you have to set it up the night before- no big deal); it has a 12 cup capacity; it has an extra filter to filter the water that's being brewed through it; it has a cleaning cycle to keep the maker clean; it has (and this is the best feature) an adjustable temperature knob to regulate how hot the warming plate gets (I love this feature as I drink Kona coffee which tends to scald quicker than heavier coffees so I can set the warming plate temperature a little lower); it has a 2 hour automatic shut off (they use to be 4 hours so I just turn it on again for another 2 hours when I hear the shut-off alarm. All in all, I've been very happy with this coffee maker. I'd purchase another exactly like it if this one gave out. I think this one was around $45 a couple years ago when I got it. Walmart has a newer model with all the same features too. Wouldn't trade it for your cat! (or dog or first born)
Have a great day!!!

Cuisinart Grind and Brew Thermal. It grinds fresh beans right before it brews, and shuts off when done brewing so you don't have burnt tasting coffee, but still keeps it hot all day. Or you can shut the grind feature off, and just use pre-ground coffee in it as well. It has a timer and a clock, and also a 1-4 cup feature that slows the brew process, so if you only make a little at a time it still tastes like a whole pot was made.

I have a beautiful Mr Coffee coffee maker and I love it. If you set the timer it will not only make the coffee for that time, but an alarm goes off to wake you and tells you that the coffee is done and shuts off by itself after keeping the coffee warm for about an hour.

I cant honestly remeber the brand I have, Im about 300km from home, but it has a built in coffee grinder in the top that you put fresh beans in. It makes a great cup o jo. I would highly recomend it but I can remember the brand. It also lets you use regular ground coffee so you dont need to only by the beans. Hope this helps.

I love my coffee makes, she makes lovely coffee for me every morning, on a serious note buy a good brand & if you notice something wrong with it, go back to the dealer & give a written complaint asking for the problem to be fixed, works most of the time unless you are maybe using it the wrong way in which case ask for a demo when bying, it may sound a simple thing, but sometimes we do it wrong

I have a cheap Proctor-Silex that I think I only paid ten dollars for. I'm going to have to replace it cause the coffee is tasting sort of funny..not good at all. Whatever you buy, make sure that it's easy to clean inside and out. I think that Bun makes the best coffee makers, the ones used in restaurants.

Most consumer grade coffee machines are all the same. They're not the same quality as a pro machine, so I don't even bother with them much.

I did get a better quality expresso machine called Nespresso. Makes the best expresso and cappuchinos of any non-pro machine I've ever seen!

I have a Braun with timer, auto shut off and a permanent basket, I like the basket feature because then I don't always have to fumble with filters or remember to but them if I run out. We have had tis pot for about 5 years now. It work great.
