don't try these chemicals, who knows what side affects they'll have on you? If you feel down, go exercise! A physical workout makes you feel better, and it is proven to be a pick-upper!

Watch out for Saint Johns' Wort products... if you are on birth control the two properties can interact and make the pill invalid. Also, over the counter natural remedies can sometimes work but if you do not feel better in a few weeks, go to a Dr. Sometimes, its something as simple as a hormonal imbalance, which can easily be taken care of. Good luck!

I wouldn't trust them. They only say no side effects because they haven't been studied and the government doesn't require them to list the side effects. If you were selling something with side effects, would you list them if you didn't have to? Talk to your doctor. Many of the prescription anti-depressants have very mild side effects. The drugs may have a long list of side effects but that doesn't mean that you will get them. If they test 1000 people and 10 get a side effect, they list it as a side effect. Chances are you will get one or two of the listed side effects at best and many of the side effects go away with time. Talk to your doctor and give them a try. Herbals are dangerous because we don't even know what the side effects are.

I think you need sleep. If you had enough sleep you would not need happy pills. Your mood could drastically improve with sleep.

Please go to a doctor if you can. Not sleeping is a sign of depression. You may not be depressed, but you very well could be. A doctor should be able to determine that. A lot of anti-depressants help with sleep disturbances.

Before you get into a doctor, why don't you try something like Tylenol PM to try to get some sleep.

Good luck to you.

if you really feel like you need or want medications the best advice is see professional medical help. There are tons of prescription meds with little or no side effects and can improve your moods.

Also it might not just be a mood there are some serious health issues that can cause mood swings other than just mental health issues.. Please see a dr.
