Yes, many have killed & warred in Christ's name. Yet, that makes them hypocrites, not Christ. For instance:

- If a man beats an African-American in the name of Dr. King, does that make Dr.king violent or the man?

- If a woman has 3 abortions in the name of 'Mother' Teresa, does that make 'Mother' Teresa a hypocrite, or the woman?

Why not blame the hypocrites and not Christ?

Maybe because they call themselves Christians which by definition means they follow Christ. Maybe christians should deal with these fake christians before they cause trouble.

Does someone who steals my identity and commits crimes make me a bad person...No. Does my ignoring the person stealing my identity my problem? Yes

Are they "FAKE" as you claim or are they merely human
and suffer from imperfection?

Jesus said "all have fallen short of the glory of God"

Do you think that out of 100 million people that none will ever make a mistake, or be ignorant of something they shouldn't have done?

Everyone is accountable and responsible for his or her own actions.

So yes if they make a mistake they should accept the bblame, But then again, I'm not aware of anyone blaming christ for the bad things SOME people do.

Isn't much of the brutality, judgmentalism, intolerance of christians justified by the old testament? The haters always seem to quote the o.t.!? Maybe christianity should get rid of the old testament...then all the christians left would have to become democrats!

However, just like with Islam and jihadism, moderate muslims just like moderate xians will have to speak out and condemn the fanatacism...if moderacy in each of those religions is in fact the rule and not the exception, it should be possible...otherwise, they are silent co-conspirators.....and what would it matter who 'christ' "was" if 85% of the adherents based on christ theology are destructive, confrontational, judgmental warmongers without compassion? A "way" can only be judged by the majority of its followers. That is the reality, the pragmatic application of that practice, and the only real thing in this world is the causes/effects of the practices of these believers on this world, it's environment and people....and is this practice, (isn't the church---the people---called the 'body of christ' in the bible???) constructive or destructive, does it cause more misery of comfort in the world, by the actions of its body, the majority of the people who practice it? (and this christian movement in the U>S. has become powerful...taken over the politics and govt of the most powerful country in the world)

Back to fanatical islam or christianity, both with fundamentalism taking over--both religions are about interpretation of the texts they're based on, so the leaders who whip these people into frenzies by picking the bad stuff out to focus on need to be replaced with the religious leadership interpreting the peaceful, tolerant, loving aspects of each religion....

But to me, religions themselves are just confrontational, when it's 'us' and 'them'....if LOVE could be everyone's religion, respect, tolerance, and humankind seen as your 'us', let the other part be left to politics--that would seem ideal, utopia, but that utopia was tried and failed for the 60's...exactly here what I'm trying to say is I guess the same as the bible's that the "kingdom of god" (utopia) is after this life, cause no utopia is possible in this life...you don't need a book or faith to understand that--logic, makes it obvious!

Also---people will judge a theology by people who say they're this or that, so if you're claiming to be this or that, your personal interaction w/people can affect their perception of who your group is...if all religious people stopped judging and preaching and legislating and just tried to recommend their chosen way by their example instead of saying "my book says this is bad, you are bad, etc. etc.," i think they would gain more credibility or respect, and win people over or 'save their souls' that way...

That's okay, Christ can take it, He has taken more then those who have never known Him can think of. How ever one day they will be the ones begging for the Mercy when there is none left

no longer fairly. that couldn't what it really is all about. yet as far as your persons and kin bypass, per chance they're more desirable the churchgoing socialites than the quite "you ought to offer up your existence and persist with me" borne back believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. uncooked Christianity is an on your face stressful conception. we are coping with severe eternal concerns and Jesus did not wussy foot round. He became beaten very just about to de-th laughed at spit upon and nailed to a bypass to die as a Catullus for the religion that we walk in. How mush a lot less might want to those who declare to be following him be. yet in this existence we are also to prepare an same compaction he confirmed. oftentimes Jesus became indignant, and argued with the non secular leaders of his day. i imagine many church goers of at present might want to be following those human beings Jesus argued with because they did remarkable non secular issues. I doubt that a lot of at present's church goers might want to easily supply up each little thing to persist with Jesus.

That is what Christian means, a follower of Christ...Every person who calls themselves a Christian; claims that they are following Christ......It is the same thing as Nazi, they represent Hitler....You cannot separate the terms.

I didn't know people blame Christ for things other people are responsible for, but it doesn't matter, it's probably something Christ would do anyways:
