President Bush’s failure to halt the invasion and secure America’s border, is a dereliction of constitutional duty that in other times, would have called forth articles of impeachment.
Slowly but surely, the great American Southwest is being reconquered by Mexico. These lands—which many Mexicans believe are their birthright—are being detached ethnically, linguistically, and culturally from the United States and over-run by Ilegal Aliens hemorraging across our Southern Border by the tens of thousands!
Why Won't The Senate perform the Will of the People Why won't Bush act?

other than that, I think the people have sadly lost control of this country. Bush wasn't even elected properly and many votes were ''lost''. The main stream media has been castrated. We look to comedians for honest news. I don't think that the politicians are the only ones to blame, sure they are taking advantage of an ignorant and gullible population (we rank in the mid 20's on the PISA global scale for education and 32nd for journalistic press freedom index) but the people are also to blame. We are a people obsessed with consumption and comfort. Sadly, they have come to equal each other. Ask the average person what cheers them up when they're down and they'll surely say that shopping (retail therapy) is one thing that works every time. This country needs an enima.

Very well said. Bush will not act, because he wants Mexico, US, and Canada to be like Europe and be one allied country. Look up Nafta Super Highway, and you will see what I mean. He wants us all to use the same currency too. This is a deal he has already made with Blair, and Fox. It is no secret either. It's all over the internet.

Don't even get me started on that jerk. He is the biggest joke of a President we could have ever hoped for. He has proven time and time again that he puts Americas best interests on the back burner. He doesn't care at all about the middle class. He should have been Mexico's President. He cares more about them.

Bush has failed miserably in all facets of country protection ... Never has this great country ever been so divided. Not to mention in the worst economical state in years. Gas prices have escalated to new and unheard of heights (not necessarily through Middle Eastern fighting, but, picking fights with Venezuela). Our immigration controls are underfunded and a joke. Shame on Bush.
P.S. this is coming from a legal Colombian against the illegal movement.

Again, what have you been reading? It is not up to the president. It's the congress. I agree-something should be done. I am all for arresting and deporting all of them. If they had a kid (or ten kids) here in the USA, send them all back to whatever country they illegally came from !

If congress had the collective will to do something, they could force Bush to act.
Alas, they are (especially in the Senate, as you observed) as spineless as anyone.
