Well,first of all, looks should not be the basis on a good and lasting relationship, talk to her and be her friend at first , see if the two of you, have a lot in common. And another important thing is for the two of you to always be straight up and honest with eachother, and never be over bearing......and if you find that she is overbearing and insecure than chances are the relationship will never work.
