Trust me when I tell you this: most people do not take their dogs out 2-3 times a day (to play at least.) You are a good person for trying to do your best despite whatever handicap you may have.

However, if you used to play 6+ times a day they may need some adjustment. That will come with time, they might get more used to just playing with each other, it's hard to say really. Since I don't know your exact situation the best I can do is guess. Dogs are highly intelligent, and I think they understand when their owner is sick or disabled. I doubt that they feel neglected, but if you feel that they may feel this way you could try buying some of the products that launch balls for you or have friends, family, or neighbors come play with your dogs. You go outside with them so that they know it's ok but let someone else do most of the physical work.

Honestly, 3 designated play times daily with your dog is more than most adult dogs ever get. But taking them for walks is important too. And you be surprised how many people never or almost never walk their dogs...

Your dogs do not sound neglected in any way. If you are concerned about outside activity through a ball or toy out with them and close the door a few times a day, start with short periods of time for them to get used to being without you (even 30 seconds) and lengthen the time over several weeks. Your dogs love you so if can go out with them 2-3 times day consider yourself lucky. Naturally more is better but dogs are adaptable. If your concerned about exercise and cannot walk the dogs yourself consider a dog walker. As far as playing ball with dog I would think they would let play ball with them until one or both of you drop.

I work during the day and am unable to take my dog out 6-7 times a day. I play with her when I get home. She is happy and content.

It sounds as if you are doing enough.. Yes, the dogs would play all day if they could but not necessary for YOU to be out there with them all the time.. I played with mine only once a day

As long as a dog has another companion like another dog it shouldn't be a problem, but you should still give the dogs attention each day.

As long as you both enjoy it.
