Depending on the branch probably no more than 45 days confinement and a dishonorable discharge. Now please do the right thing and turn yourself in so you can move on with your life. Good luck.

I'll withhold my opinion of those that go AWOL and turn deserter. You are no longer AWOL, you became a deserter 30 days after you did not show up to your unit and report for duty. So you can face a multitude of charges. But the most likely punishmen you will get is time spent in the local PMO lockup and a dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of all allowances and entitlements, and reduction in rank to E-1. Considering there are those who have left military service in other ways (i.e. death) you're getting off light.

Turn yourself into the nearest active duty installation or National Guard armory.

If you have been awol for less than 180 days, you can turn yourself in, seek medical help and still possibly get a medical discharge. Once discharged, you may be eligible for compensation benefits, as long as treatment was sought during service and you have a discharge of at least "Under Honorable Conditions", which a medical discharge would provide. Good Luck!

Could help your case. But, you need to turn yourself in ASAP. Go to any military base, they all have AWOL apprehension units. Sooner the better. Get documentation of all your doctor visits from home. You will be able to consult a military lawyer. You might not even get jail time. But it will be worse for you if they pick you up, than if you turn yourself in. Good luck.

A lot of variables here. After you turn your self in the may just give you an article 15 and keep you, if they want to keep you. If you were someone they don't want around they could article 15 you and boot you out. The fact that you just up and left to see a doctor, non military type, will hurt you. More than likely you'd be seeing a general discharge and it won't be for medical reasons unless a military doctor signs off on it.

You'll get medically discharged. However, going AWOL in time of war is considered desertion which is punishable by death in all honesty. They're not going to do it thought, these rules are out of date but technically speaking death is the penalty for desertion.

The military will consider your mental health in determining your case. speak with your pyschologist about allowing full disclosure of your case to the military. Otherwise, you may have privacy issues, and that would effect the outcome. Contact your base medical office. Explain to them what has happened in the past 10 weeks, and tell them you are sending your pyschological records to them. Then, with a copy of your records, go turn yourself in.
good luck. You will most likely be discharged, and will not face jail time.

I am connected with the Air Force. They watch sites like this for information so they know you are awol and can probably track you. Nothing is worth suicide. You will face a jail sentence. And during times of war it is the death penalty (I don't think they are enforcing that during this conflict).Turn yourself in.
If you are lucid enough to write this you aren't wacko enough to get off with a hand slapping. It will help but you will still serve your sentence.

You should've let them medically discharge you. It sounds like they would have let you go. You may face prison time, actually I think thats a given. The Army was prosecuting a woman who dec cided not to go into the military before she even left for basic, someone forged her documents ( and they know this for a fact) and 5 yrs later she is facing jail time. So I suggest getting a lawyer because you are gonna need it.

First of all you need to turn yourself in. Yes you will be punished, but not as harshly you voluntarily turned yourself in instead of the military picking you up.

They already turned off your paycheck and all benefits at the 29-day mark. You will be court-martialed and recieve non-judicial punishment, but it could result in a dishonorable discharge.

You will be better off if you suck it up, take their punishment, and then move on with your life.
