I just returned from Italy my US passport was stamped 12 times by Italian State police, all pages in my passport have a stamp do i need to get a new passport or can other entry stamps be applied to the pages already stamped. the reason for all the stamps is that every time you enter the International section entering or leaving everybody must see an immigration officer that checks your passport and stamps it

Most immigration services are willing to stamp on pages that are already stamped by someone else. If you're really nervous though, you can get some blank pages added. You can do it in the US through this process:

or else the next time you're overseas stop in the nearest US embassy or consulate and they'll do it while you wait.
