You are on the right track. If we all went to the Lord for His advice every day in all aspects of our life, we are less likely to have probems. But God will step asside so we can see that we cannot do things on our own.

When trouble bestows me, my first thought is to pray, and ask the Lord for a solution, an intervention to the problem. Usually that is all it takes, talking with Him, usually opens my eyes to see a resolution. The same is said when something good happens, my first words are thank you Lord Jesus.

My first thought when problems set in is whether or not I have any coffee available. Coffee stimulates mental activity that might provide practical soultions.

I know that it is up to me to figure out how to solve my problems, so I don't use up time praying that could be better spent reasoning.
