I need more info to help. But these are some factors in "restful" sleep being disrupted.
1. Drinking beverages too close to bedtime.-You'll wake up needing to "go".
2. Bad mattress/Box spring doesn't give proper support & or comfort- causes you to toss and turn with periods of waking to change positions thru the nite (maybe subconsciously)
3. You never fully achieve REM sleep- A deep restful sleep because your mind is full of anxieties. (thinking about deadlines at work and what you have to do the next day, etc.)
4. You don't give your body "time" to get a restful sleep because you go to bed too late and get up too early.

I hope I covered some of your habits or conditions and I wish you luck in attaining your goal- one last thought - SLEEP NUMBER BED! :D

First of all, do you get an average of 6-8 hours of sleep a night? Next, do you eat healthy and/or take vitamins? I deal with this same issue and I have found that when I take vitamins, exercise, and get about 7-8 hours I feel 100% better!

If all else fails - the medical profession might be worth a try. There are drugs that won't harm but still help. I think of them as 'stimulating' lethargy.

You need to see a doctor. It is possible that one of two things may be occuring. Sleep Apnea or a lack of iron.

perhaps you are worried about something. you should clear all your worries away and do relaxing things before you sleep like meditation, listening to ballads and eat a healthy meal. however if it still does not work, seek medical advice :)
