Has anyone really liked someone you hadly knew and have that person not liked you back and you felt heartbroke

This is how I feel about someone I met recently. Do you have any stories or help on getting over this.

A long time ago this happened to me. I realised that even if that person did like me it wouldn't have worked anyway.

Then left it in the past where it stays.

I've loved someone i hardly knew, but he loved me back, at least i think he does. I trust him.
