I have a crystal heart hanging in a window. When the prism's reflect colors, think of all the love my son has given me.
What is your keepsake?

My husband was killed in a car accident a couple of years ago. Just before he died, my then 4 year-old daughter drew a picture of all of us, with the dog and cat. I framed it, and it's hanging in my living room. Reminds me of what a wonderful, happy family we had, (and actually still do have).

Every day is a treasure. But, there are a couple things: A little baseball bat I ordered with his newborn pictures; it is the length he was when he was born, and he was very premature (23wks, 6 days) and only 11 and a quarter inches long and 1 lb. 2 oz. I look at this and think, "What a miracle", as he is now 8 years old and in perfect health. Also, a little concrete stepping stone with his handprint in it that he made in preschool. I keep that on my nightstand. But I keep all his schoolwork too; I just can't bring myself to throw it away. Times that he drives me nuts or not, he is the most wonderful thing in my life.

After thirty years I still have all of the drawings and school papers that my children did in school. But I think the thing I cherish the most is my three children and 3 and 1/2 grandchildren( the 1/2 is the new grandbaby that is due in the spring.

My now 21-yr-old son had a paper route for a couple of years. Every now and then he'd buy me something. What I love best is a little ceramic, eye-glass wearing mouse in a basket.

My daughter has burned me cds with songs I love on them.

But those who say they just cherish every day their kids have been alive are right! I didn't have kids 'til I was in my 30s and early 40s, so I truly do cherish them.

I don't have children, but my brother (who is 13 years younger than I) made a picture of us together when he was in kindergarten. I had it framed and it hangs on my livingroom wall.
