Depends on WHERE the aneurysm is and how big - Some aneurysms are there all your life and nothing happens, and sometimes even small ones bleed.

an aneurysm is a weakening in the wall of an artery
sometimes the blood flow is impeded, when the wall of the artery erodes and blood lodges between the triple muscles walls of the artery,
or the blood causes enough pressure within to burst , through the wall causing internal bleeding
The degree of damage from an aneurysm varies from mild to severe .
The technology to find these is very good nowadays .
Today we have a high understanding of this problem and many successful operations are performed .
best wishes
:)
There is always hope of survival

A superb chance depending on the aneurysm and the surgeon you have to sort it out. My dad had one 22 years ago. Still going strong and healthy.

There are different kinds of Annys. some are larger thatn others. It really depends on the palcement and size of the anny. One of my best friends survived an anny rupture . it was the sunarachnoid kind ( which is one the most life threatening)She is 30. it runs in her family. she had surgery for it immediatlly and still has 2 more that they watch. she is no longer under 24 hr supervision and is progressing nicely. there are aneursym site that can be found from you search engine. they are hard to find because most survivors dont realize they are there. Email me @ yahoo.com if you'd like. Love and blessings...Dont give up hope...

Depends on the size and the position of the Aneurysm. They can be treated and people go on to lead a long and fruitful life. On the other hand it can kill you.

very good chance, my mother in law had one that caused an haemorige last year, we were told she had a 20% chance of survival when they operated, she was in intensive care for 3 month afterwards but has made nearly a fully recovery now, the only things that are wrong with her is that she is a bit more forgetful and she has no sense of smell but apart from that she is fine

Been there and survived, mine burst in the Aorta. Luckily there was a vascular surgeon at the hospital. 4 hour op. and 3 days int. care, then 12 more days in hospital. In the UK 12,000 men die of a burst artery for various reasons.

100%??!!!! Does the answer not depend on the site, size and the individual patient? No one can tell you the answer in such a way without specifics. In your head, most are asymptomatic until they rupture and if thats the case, the mortality ie death rate is certainly not 0, again, it depends.
