Through in a cup of vinegar and a box of baking soda. Let it foam away. When the foaming stops, put it on the stove on high heat and add a gallon of water (or more if needed to cover. Bring it to a boil for 5 mins. then turn off the heat and let it sit until it's cool. The water will soften the burnt on mess and usually removes it all (at least in my canner). If that really doesn't work, you can buy a special cleaner for burnt on messes (smells like orange) that won't hurt your canner/pressure cooker. Don't remember the name, but it comes in a blue pump bottle and is sold in the dishwasher section in your grocery store.

Spray easy off for few minutes then scrub it with commet. Pressure cooker will shine like new.

Fill it with water and add 1 tablespoon of Oxy-Clean.
Let soak overnight, all the burnt stuff will just wash away.

scrape off as much as you can and then soak overnight with a couple of the rags which you use in your dryer to soften your clothing. It always works.

Simmer tomato sause on the bottom , cool and scrap then use a steel wool pad. You may have to do it twice.

A good 3M pad and elbow grease will clean anything in my opinion.

pour vinegar in the pot and boil; it really stinks but should work
