It's quite an ironic situation happening now concerning illegal immigrants/ visa issues/ border security. Many years ago people of various ethnic groups were bundled together like cattle, being forcefully taken from their native lands, and worked to death to build up wealth for their colonial masters. Now that the former masters have been very well compensated for their freed slaves and have great societies to go on with, unlike the decimated slave trade countries they now have strict border security measures like visas, immigration quotas, mass deportations and outright discrimination at their embassies abroad.
What is needed now is fair & rational immigration policies to foster genuine tourism and better family ties for non-immigrants & migrants alike.

What the hell are you talking about?
1) Not sure what colonial masters you are talking about but I know of no colonies in the world.
2) Everyone has exploited everyone so immigrants are just as bad as anyone else.
3) Any question about immigration is to question a country's sovereign right to control it's own soil. Why don't you let people walk all over your home and then tell me you have no right to have any say in access to your home.

Countries have a right to make their own laws to protect their people, and in fact they should.
Immigrants have no right to complain unless their own countries or groups within countries never ever invaded anyone.
Oops! I guess that lets everyone out!
I'm from the United States, and we were colonized, but you know what? We've gotten over it and done fairly well for ourselves. So did Canada and Australia, come to think of it, and others.
Time for you to do the same in your country, don't you think?

In a poll for the Daily Telegraph it was revealed that 32% of British Muslims believe that "Western society is decadent and immoral and that Muslims should seek to bring it to an end".
So yes, immigration must be tightly controlled. Especially from Muslim countries.
