Yes.. they sell doggie diapers for this purpose...or you can get a pill from the vet to take the dog out of heat...
since your dog is a mixed breed she should definately be spayed...
spayed females have fewer health risks and of course you wont have to deal with their annoying heat cycles - so please if you love your dog, make arrangements to have her spayed

Breeding 2 canines at the same time does no longer create a clean breed, so the domestic dogs would not be noted as something except jack russell bypass yorkies. those names like 'Maltipoo' and so on are fairly stressful, as is the comprehensive 'fashion designer breed' aspect because they're no longer breeds. Strongly propose you contact a vet for perfect suggestion, there is plenty to earnings. do not count number on Yahoo solutions for innovations, you may by no skill be positive what you're interpreting is sturdy suggestion. Please do get your canines spayed after she's had the domestic dogs - the international fairly does no longer want canines churning out litters like this, the shelters are overcrowded as a results of the undeniable fact that is - no longer suggesting your domestic dogs will finally end up in shelters, yet they'll be taking up houses necessary for the canines in shelters. you're also putting your canines at heavily extreme danger of pyometra and mammary maximum cancers at the same time as she's older. Yeah they are fine if you want to spend the money. When my pitt bull went into heat I just used my granny panties that I use when I'm on my period and went to the dollar store and bought a small box of pads. Believe me after a few hours of her bleeding every where and licking herself, and yes you should think about that the next time she licks you in the face LMAO you will be willing to try anything! The panties didn't bother her at all and I almost think she liked them LOL.. And yes you're going to hear it again get her spayed. Don't want to pay the vet to do it? I went to my humane society and she was checked for heart worms, all shots updated, and a shot for pain all for $150 but I do have to say she was in heat when she was fixed so they charged me like $20 so it would have been $130

Yes, they make doggy diapers for dogs in heat. They are to contain the blood and keep it off of your carpet and furniture, it's not to keep male dogs away. You have to do that yourself. Just take the diaper off of her when you let her out to go to the bathroom and make sure you put it back on when she comes in. Don't leave her outside unattended. Even better would be to get her spayed, then you wouldn't have to worry about it.

No thats not good ... depending on how aggresive the male dog is
they will rip that diaper off quick.
> i suggest during the 'heat' keep your little dog locked up.
> if that was already your plan to keep locked up and to prevent spotting on your furniture and carpets then yes a diaper is a good ideal.

you could also use panties and a mini pad...just pin the panties to make them fit better. This is much less annoying than a diaper. Besides, you'll never need ALL the diapers in the pack.
Oh yeah, go get her fixed after her heat is over....the world doesn't need anymore unwanted dogs.

It probably wouldn't be a bad idea. It would keep the mess confined and keep it off your furniture and carpets.
The other option would to be to kennel your little girl until she is through. Get a wire kennel at the pet store big enough to give her room to move around. You can line it with newspaper or old towels or something to confine the mess.
Good luck, sounds like she might just be a cutie.

Sure you can put a doggie diaper on her. They sell them at pet stores. If you don't want to spend the money on those, you can always put a pair of boxers on her. Put them on backwards so that her tail goes through the front hole.

They sell doggie diapers by the way just for that particular problem. Go to Petsmart if there is one in your area. Unless you want blood all over your carpet and floors.

If you go to a pet store you can purchase an item for this problem. Its a pair of underwear with an elastic waist so its comfortable for your dog and it has a section in it where you place a pad. They should sell the refills for it also.
