try copyin the setup file... which is hard to get when an yahoo messenger is downloaded coz it deletes the setup file after the installation completes!!!!! try catchin the file durin installation after downloadin it will be in programfiles/yahoo/installs... anyhow if u already did so try installin it again

Reinstall it, yahoo installs in more than one directory, it copies files in Program File/Yahoo, Documents and Settings\all users and your user, it installs flash player on your system and many other security fixes and other stuff...
You need to reinstall it. If you want to keep your archive install yahoo, log with your account and exit... then go to Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Profiles\, on the original computer and copy what you find there to the new computer at the same path
