They fought and died fighting nazi terrorists, stopped them coming over here to bomb and kill innocent people, unfortunately, this weak government allows a new type of terrorist into the country to blow up and kill innocent civilians. Difference is, we welcomed these people here with open arms , gave them homes and jobs, helped them financialy and this is how we are repaid. Sometimes I feel these brave men died for nothing.

What? Read some history and then come back to us with an opinion based on some understanding. There is so much here that is just so much hokum. Our Grandfathers fought and some died for us to live in a free society and did not die 'for us English'. This demonstrates not only your crappy knowledge of history but the reason why the Scots, Welsh and Irish think we English are an arrogant self obessed bunch of eejits. Were they fighting for 'we English'? Then it totally disregards the huge numbers of Americans who came over to Britain to help us liberate the rest of Europe...were they doing that for 'us English' too???? Are their graves in Northern France and elsewhere just for England??
EUROPE owes and enormous debt to the Americans, Canadians, Australians, Indians and all other countries who sent men to fight to remove the blight of Nazism from the face of the planet and to fight for all our freedoms. The only joke in Britain these days are the little Englanders who can't see past the end of their own noses.Currently a great number of immigrants to this country are Polish. They see us as the country who went to war with the Nazis when they were invaded and now see us as a land of opportunity and are prepared to work hard here. Thats what MY Grandfather fought for.

look to the 19th and 20th century population, employment and economy statistics and read some history to get some common sense before you make random illiterate comment.

The UK's population dropped down in the past, which is not too good, and so, there was a big shortage for workers, either professional or manual. and so, the british government used to send people to countries like Inda, Pakistan and various parts of the world 'begging' them to come and live in the uk, while promising them a home, welfare etc etc

WE needed these people! now the UK is a multicultural society. the biggest business men and investors in the uk are of foreign origins, for example Al-Fayed, one of the biggest businessmen in the uk, from an egyption origin, when he came was an immigrant....if not for him we wouldnt have a place like Harrods that the world is speaking about!

These people put in society way too much, in cultural means and that of economic! whoever and whatever they are japaneese, pakistanies, indians, chineese, polish, french, arabs, italians etc etc!

if you were brainy you would have realised that most of londons population is foreigners, they make london what it is now with their contributions!

Its shame how we have lived in a multicultural society and yet there are those who still discriminate and have prejudice towards others!

Lets face it, they helped the country at one stage, and they are still a very important part of our daily lives, our economy, culture, work etc . if not for them i wonder what Britain would be like now!

if this is how you feel then dont enter any shop, store, restaurant, centres etc owned by a foriegner. dont buy their products, boycott their companies, and dont come in contact with any of them....and then let me know how ur days are going!

do that then u'l realise what they mean to us. and please have more respect to other societies, cultures and ethic backgrounds! as you never know who your real ancestors are, your ancestors could have been slaves to a foriegner in a foriegn country!

My stepfather, a WWII paratrooper is still alive and was in France on D-Day. He repeats the same thing over and over again so that I never forget. "There is nothing like the taste of Freedom".

And I've seen WWII documentaries of the UK where they would all say 'We're doing this for our children'.

How fast people forget or the story gets lost. 155 million people died in WWII alone world wide. In America it's estimated that since WWI there are about 120 million missing Americans that weren't born due to the various wars and losing their lives.

google 'The Rising Tide of Color'.

The heroes that fought (and died) for this country would be disgusted to see how far down the pan this country has gone. At the end of both world wars the population felt that the ultimate sacrifice had been worth it. Looking at the levels of health care, education, immigration and crime today, I think everybody wouldagree that they wasted their time, and in so many cases their lives. We owe them all huge apology.

english people - european people for that matter roamed the earth for centuries without visa. Whereever they went, they could trade, establish themselves and then rule and then take all the precious things BACK. Yes be ashamed of the KOHINOOR pebble in your london's queens possession.

That's how your grandads were.

Now the people who are coming to the WHITE land are coming with entry visa's given with utmost scrutiny. If I look shabby, I would not even be allowed into your embassies let alone negotiate a visa !!!

EnJOY till IT lasts !!!

Amen, Jonsie. I've been visiting Canada a lot and at least they seem to still care about who comes into their country and takes their jobs. There are debt free cities, people getting tax rebates from the government...they have their problems but it's not as bad (in many areas) as it is in the USA.

And I suppose that you can trace your lineage back to the ancient Britons can you? Don't forget that Britain was built on immigration (just like America) and that if it wasn't for the contribution from these people, we would be a poorer society for it.

And you need to learn proper English before you spout about 'people coming over here...' Moron.

Freedom has a price: Sacrifice.

Thomas Jeffreson has said: " The tree of Liberty must be refreshed with the blood of Patriots"

People don't want to think about war, blood and tears. (to paraphrase Churchill) They take for granted what was given to them, without considering the enormous cost of their freedom. If you think of it, this is the fundamental cause of all the problems of modern democracies. We take for granted what was so dearly earned.

If you ask me, I think only veterans should run the show.

By the way my father is Vietnam vet.
