this actually happened to me. this particular ex hadn't degraded me in public...but he degraded me by using me for sex and leaving me. then never talking to me again. i wanted to hit him, but i walked on by ignoring his existance. seemed the mature thing to do. don't talk to him and give him that satisfaction...and don't let him see you sweat. let him see you're living just fine. *hug*

i would speak to them with just a polite hello just to let them know that you wasn't hurt by the break up even if you were don't stand there and have an off the wall conversation but just let him know that it didn't affect you the way he wanted to.

Honestly speaking, in that situation it will be hard for to me face. majority of people will just ignore him. but it left up to an individual that, if you have a softcorner for him go ahead speak with him , other wise mid your business never , ever turn to him

I would ignore him. If they haven't treated me well, it's obvious that we don't belong together. Besides, why would I want to talk to someone that treated me bad in the past? Talking to him would only give him another chance to degrade me. I'm better than that.

I wouldn't talk to them. Definetly not first. If they talked to me I might say hi or make a little small talk just to let them know I'm over it and I don't care about you anymore. So ha!

Show them that your the better person. Don't go out of the way to speak to them, but if they aproach don't run away. Stand your ground and be pleaseant. Show them that what they think of you doesn't effect who you are.

Just a casual nod of the head is enough. After all, YOU still have manners right?

Ignore them. Don't dignify their actions by acknowledging them.

this just happened to me recently. dont ignore them, but dont stare. when they talk about you, dont care about it. if she or he knows that they can hurt that simply, they will. the alternative is to get into a yelling fight and "sccidentally" splurt out all their deep dark secreets you know, but only if they dont know any of yours.
