Need a holiday, but can't go to the new year...looking for hot (and cheap)....

You can apparently get some cheap packages to Mexico - not all year round, with no rain Nov - Mar, and no need to get a visa.
If that's still too expensive, the Canaries are the cheapest places with reasonable winter weather. You can have hot, you can have cheap; both hot and cheap is not so easy!

Canary Islands, will be hot in Jan and is relatively cheap
Check out some online travel agents and you will see what I mean
What is goos as well is that there is a surplus of holidays at the moment so a lot of the travel companies are desperate to sell
Another tip on cutting costs is to NEVER take the travel agents holiday insurance, go to insuresupermarket.com and get your insurance from someone like this, much better value and usually better policies as well

Canaries - Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote , Fuertventura are all good places to go in January if you don't want to go to far - about a 4 hr flight from London. Try http://www.icelolly.com/ for cheap holidays and ideas of where to go in the winter. They do great all inclusive deals as well.

Hot & cheap got to be Thailand - some fabulous places to visit without getting expensive. Flights are usually quite cheap. Try www.travelsupermarket.co.uk. All flights to thailand are listed from all airports.

I hear that the Dominican Republic is one of the cheapest vacation hot spots. I went there in April, but it is hot there in January as well. It was a blast.

Anywhere in the southern hemisphere, remember that there winter is our summer and vice versa, I'm talking Australia, Africa, South America etc. That is where it is hot, though cannot talk from personal experience. Have a nice trip! x

Hey Deffinately Cape Town! (South Africa) Hot and the most beautifull people! Try Camps Bay and the coast is also WONDERFULL. But dont expect wildlife, just wild people! you cant go wrong.. let me know how it goes and it's soo cheap! if your a foreigner

Go to South Africa, it is summer in january and very warm, and you will love it at there beaches, and because the pound is so high to the rand, it is cheap

thailand is great in january and dirt cheap, plus most places in the southern hemishere there seasons are reversed, new zealand has there summer holiday in january so its pretty cool at that time(pretty expensive too though)

Australia and New Zealand are having their summers then. You a long time to find them on a cheap deal.
